AHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
s'right.
i haven't watched it yet, we are starting it right now, but as i recall - i hope to god i'm remembering it right - i am still in.
FINAL TWO!!!
SERIOUSLY????
WOW, THATS A LOT OF CAPITAL AND PUNCTUATION!!!!!!
i'm pretty happy right now. pretty happy.
check back tomorrow for the real scoop.
AHHHHHHHH!!!!!
- don't worry, those are good ah's, i'm not in pain.
(but for now, know that I know that i didn't come up with the outfit to room concept - there just hasn't been a show that i liked about it. thank you Domino.)
Thom Filicia does it on tacky house (I think), but that show is terrible. Even though he is my favorite designer, that show makes me want to end it all...
ReplyDeleteLoved your blue room! Fresh, pretty, engaging. Congrats!
ReplyDeleteCongrats!!! I loved your design.
ReplyDeleteYeah! loved your glass house! Congrats!
ReplyDeleteMazel tov!
ReplyDeleteI was nervous for you with the sore throat, but you pulled it off. The room looked so comfy I wanted to go in, kick my shoes off, and watch your show from the sofa.
p.s. hope you win!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Congratulations.
ReplyDeleteDoes this mean I can't hire you? You're going to be way too expensive for me.
That room SO deserved to win. I just knew it would be you and Michael. :) SO happy for you. Can't wait to see how it all works out.
ReplyDeleteWonderful room, and so happy to find your blog. I haven't blogged about Design Star til now, but thought that after your room tonight I had to! I hope you'll stop by to read the post! You're my fave, fingers crossed for next week.
ReplyDeleteYesssssssssss
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!! I too loved your design. Your room gave me a comfortable feeling. Sorry you were having sore throat issues.
ReplyDeleteChris
Loved your room!!!
ReplyDeleteYour room ROCKED. Leaps and bounds above the other two. In the words of Rachel Zoe--I die. And it was bananas! GAWD, I hope you win!!! :)
ReplyDeleteI love it. Emily's got to give credit where credit is due. You rock. Now win the show and bring it home!
ReplyDeleteNext time your voice is suffering, drink some mangosteen juice.
ReplyDelete(I know, unsolicited, probably not majorly feasible advice from a teenager, but as a singer I can tell you that it is an instant cure.) Oh, and crystallized ginger, but that takes a little longer to work. Mangosteen gets the job done. Especially with aloe. Making this the best thing ever for the voiceless performer: http://sg105395406.trustpass.alibaba.com/product/105068582-101269889/Ice_Cool_Mangosteen_Juice.html
Actually, I've never had that kind before, but it sounds really good?
But you're better now... So I'll be quiet.
Oh, and congratulations. :D I'm excited!
(This was embarrassing. I apologize.)
emily! right before design star started i came across your blog & ever since, my mom & i have been hooked (i.e. i get ticked if i'm sat a table at my summer job past 7.30 on sunday nights, as this could blow my opportunity to watch design star LIVE! w mommy) & rooting for you! anywho, congrats to making it thus far & can't wait to see next wk!
ReplyDelete(soo many exclamation points - success.)
Talk about class. Posting positive comments and portfolio photos for the other two finalists.
ReplyDeleteTonight, your sun room was beautiful, comfortable, and livable.
But, I have the impression that these shows were filmed months ago as in at least the last two episodes there have been fruit trees in bloom.
In any case, wishing you great luck and success.
From the time the portfolios were released, I didn't really let myself believe that someone with a design aesthetic like yours could win. I rely on blogs and flipping through old Domino mags for inspiration. I don't normally see it on TV.
ReplyDeleteBut now, I'm thinking that maybe, just maybe...
Argh! I can't even say that I'm hoping right now. I'll just say YAY and hope that next Sunday gets here very quickly.
Congratulations!!!
YAY~!
ReplyDeleteCannot wait for the final. You were the best by far last night. Loved your room!
great room, gal. I am beyond excited to see vintage, quirky stuff/style get some exposure time. that is my total style, too, so I am in heaven to see that kinda thing get some up-front time and some kudos. great job, Emily, your room was fantastic. Donna
ReplyDeleteYAYAYAYAYAYAYAYYAYAYAYA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You were beautiful! Your dress was beautiful! Your room was beautiful! It was a slam dunk! Congratulations Emily! I hope you win it all!!!
ReplyDeleteI love your designs! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteWOO HOO FOR YOUUU!! {Contented sigh} The room was so lovely and real. It didn't feel forced or overthought. LOVED it and am so happy for you.
ReplyDeleteShelly
I'm thrilled for you. I was concerned during the judges comments because we never heard from Candace and it seemed you were short changed in how long your segment was. It was a nice turn of events when they said your name as a finalist. Whatever happens, you will do well in your career. You certainly have been a class act through this entire ordeal. And to think you were one of the first during elminations. lol You've come sooooo very far!!!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations! Been rooting for you all season... LOVED this room. Your style (fashion and design) are so my taste and I'm already getting excited about watching your show - fingers crossed! Anyway, just wanted to say I think you're great.
ReplyDeletehooray!! loved your space--the colors popped for television--was the couch vintage? Why don't I find things like that? And your partner/assistant was right there for you-love a good wingman/right hand man-isn't it wonderful that greatness attracts greatness?
ReplyDeleteCongratulations. Your room was by far the best of the three. So cozy and looked like it took years to achieve the look. Of course, you have been my favorite from the beginning. Can't wait til next week. Good luck.
ReplyDeleteLOVEEEE the room!! Totally unlike anything I've seen on tv YET. Michael has nothing on you! He is a good designer but your show would be completely original and unique. Can't wait for Sunday!!!
ReplyDeleteGah, I haven't watched it yet but I just HAD to see how it went! I can't wait to get home from work and see what glorious glory you came up with for the glass house. Good lord. You are awesome.
ReplyDeleteCongratulations on becoming a finalist! I watch DS with my design minded 12 year old daughter and we both cheered when the judges chose you.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a show with your concept (nod to the late, lamented Domino feature) and will be rooting for you next Sunday. Kudos to designing such a great room, it was indeed the winner!
Fantastic space! I love your affinity for navy blue! Brilliant idea on fabric wall covering! I'm looking forward to next week!
ReplyDeleteLoved your room! So much fun. As are you. Congrats!!
ReplyDeleteI loved your room. I'm saving it as inspiration for our guest house. Would you mind telling me where you got that green sofa?
ReplyDeleteI've just discovered you blog and I am utterly charmed. You are not only talented, but hilarious! Congrats on making it this far--what an accomplishment!
ReplyDeleteWas so happy to see you have made it to the final two! I had gotten behind on the episodes so I was ignoring your blog for a couple days so I could catch up! :) My fingers are crossed from now until next week when they crown you Design Star!!!--or at least they had better!
ReplyDeleteWAY TO GO, Em!
ReplyDeleteBut I'm also sad I won't be able to afford your services :(
Congrats Emily! Your room rocked! can't wait to see next week's show!
ReplyDeleteWhere did you get that green couch from in your space? I love it!
You Go Girl! Rooting for you. The room was awesome and I totally 'get' your style. I think it is the most realistic way to live. HGTV needs people like you! XO J
ReplyDeletei am def rooting for you! the show was called dress my nest by the way and it was AWESOME. the concept is so great and i really hope you win so you can bring it back even better. good luck darling!
ReplyDeleteI love your style to a T!
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful room- I could've moved right in! Hope you win.
ReplyDeleteI really, really, really loved (seriously loved)that blue room! That would fit me perfectly. Good luck tonight! I seriously hope (really hope) you win. I'd watch your show every time it was on.
ReplyDeleteEmily,
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find your green couch for this room. I absolutely LOVE it and I want one, even if it only found in NY. I live in CA but I am obsessed. You are awesome and you would be even awesom-ER if you told me where to find it! Thanks!
